Arthritis and the Character of the Care We Give
Dr. Katz is a board certified rheumatologist an internist with executive leadership proficiency and the medical and health editorial background, including a literary skills. He held important administrative positions as chair of medicine at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and Chief of Rheumatology at several hospitals in the greater Philadelphia area. Furthermore, he was Vice president of Medical Affairs at ETHOS health communications company and President of SCIOS, a CME provider. He is familiar with developing and reviewing scientific Journal manuscripts and platforms, identifying optimal target audiences, and providing guidance to medical journals spending several decades. He has experience in bench and clinical research, resulting in several publications. Dr. Katz prides himself on being a rheumatology and internal medicine medical educator giving interactive lectures worldwide. He published two significant textbooks, the Diagnosis and Management of Rheumatic Diseases, and recently was the Director of the global online curriculum about COVID-19 in rheumatologic and dermatologic auto inflammatory diseases. Dr. Katz has been listed in "Who's Who in medicine and healthcare" and is a winner of the "Joseph Lee Hollander" award for excellence and achievement in rheumatology, and Arthritis foundation Eastern Pennsylvania chapter.
